Finding the best miter saw stand can be complicated since there are so many different ones to choose from, and they’re not all created equal. For this reason, I have decided to put together a guide for my readers, to help them find the best.
Do I Need a Miter Saw Stand?
Sure, you could always make your own mite saw stand, but I have had a bad experience with this. I had a friend that made his own stand, and the thing just wasn’t sturdy at all. That’s when I decided that, as cool as they were, I would never make my own stand for my miter saw. Instead, I decided to buy one (the one I purchased is actually in this guide). To answer your question, whether you buy a miter saw stand or not is fully up to you, but I would recommend it.

We’ve done some in-depth research into the best miter saw stands on the market in the chart below you’ll see our top picks if you want to quickly check them out at Amazon and see pricing and reviews. If not read on to find out the features of each one of our choices.

Ridgid AC9946 Mobile Miter Saw Stand with Mounting Braces
Starting out, I would like to go over the RIDGID AC9946 mobile miter saw table. Something that really makes this mobile miter saw stand worth looking at is the fact that the height can be adjusted to the users liking, which is something that is rare to find in a miter stand. I’ve used many miter saw stands in my life, and have had ones that were too low to the ground for me, so the RIDGID AC9946 having the ability to adjust its height really helps. With this feature, you can lower and light the height of the whole table.
Giant Rubber Tires
This miter stand weighs 67 pounds, and I admit this is a tad bit on the heavy side. However, you won’t have to pick this stand up, because it has large rubber tires that you can use to move it. In fact, the tires are so big that I could see it easily rolling up steps if you have to. The tires are 12 inches and they are made from top of the line rubber, so you can count on them lasting for many years to come.
Looking at all the different features of this miter saw, I am quite pleased with it. Another feature that makes this Miter saw stand so popular is the fact that it is compatible with almost every standard miter saw out there. This means if you have a standard miter saw, chances are, you will be able to use this table.
Easy to Fold
Yes, when it’s all said and done and you want to store this miter saw in the corner, it’s easy to fold up. Something I have noticed with most miter saws that fold up is that they’re not very sturdy once in use. However, with the RIDGID saw right here, you’re not going to have any issues with the sturdiness. Take it from me, this thing is super sturdy. In fact, I believe it’s one of the sturdiest miter saw stands I’ve ever had the opportunity to use.
There are many miter saw tables you could choose from, but if you’re looking for a foldable table that has large wheels, and can be adjusted to just the right height, then I highly recommend the RIDGID AC9946 mobile miter saw stand.
Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise Miter Saw Stand
Another good miter saw stand that is worth looking into would be the Bosch gravity rise miter saw stand. This stand right here is built with the user in mind, so if you’re looking for the best stand, then it would be a suitable option for you.
If you’re looking for a stable miter saw table, which I am sure you are, then you would be happy with the Bosch gravity rise miter saw stand. The base of the table is wide, so it makes for added stability.
The entire table weighs in at 76 pounds, but that’s, okay, because this table also has wheels.
The wheels on the stand make for easy transportation. The stand actually has two different modes that you can choose from. One of the modes is for moving, while the other mode is for when you’re making cuts. The wide base combined with the wheels will allow you to push the stand around, even if the ground is bumpy. The wheels will also help you go up and down steps, making it even easier if you have to take it to different locations inside a building.
Switching between the two modes is easy to do, even when you have a saw attached to it.
I like how gravity rise was added to this miter saw stand. Basically, this will allow you to lift the table into a mobile position without the weight of the system.
When it’s all said and done and it’s time to put the miter saw up, the footprint is pretty small and it can be stored in the vertical position.
If you’re looking for a highly portable miter saw table then this is a great choice. Without any hesitation, thanks to the wheels, you will be able to move the stand from one place to the next.
Easy to Set Up
This stand is easy to set up, and I’m happy about this because I despise having to take a lot of time to get ready. When I go to work, I want to work on my tasks, not mess around with a table. Thankfully, Bosch must have read our minds, because they did an amazing job at not only making the stand easy to set up, but it’s also easy to fold. I must also mention that there are no tools required for making adjustments, which is definitely a benefit.
Impact on Saw Use
The material support system on this saw is quite nice – it even has material stops. The supports are running along two steel bars, The material stops can be flipped in and out of the way without required a whole lot of effort on your end.
So there you have it, if you’re looking for a good miter saw table then I recommend taking a look at the Bosch gravity rise miter saw stand for all of the above reasons. This stand has all you need to be able to support your project.
Dewalt DWX723 Miter Saw Stand
When I think about power tools, the Dewalt brand always pops in my mind. So naturally, while looking for stands, I made it my mission to find the best miter saw table by Dewalt (I am including a couple of them in this buying guide, actually).
This saw is only 35 pounds …yes, you hear that right. So far, this is the lightest stand we have on this buying guide. Once this stand is in front of you, you’ll probably wonder why it’s so light, because the build and size don’t seem to match the weight.
Leave it to Dewalt to make such a table. Looking at the extensions, legs, and the work surface, they’re not fragile at all. I really like how the table extensions can be locked into place when you need them to be level. Dewalt has said that this table is capable of supporting up to 500 pounds of material, but I didn’t get a chance to try that out. I did, however, get a chance to try out 300 pounds of material, and it worked perfectly, so we know it can support 300 pounds. With 300 pounds, it didn’t seem like it was going to collapse or anything along those lines. So, the stand is obviously made out of good material.
Okay, so this is a pretty big table here, and unfortunately, it does not have any wheels. However, taking in the fact that it only weighs 35 pounds, the fact that it doesn’t even have wheels doesn’t really bother me all that much. The product folds up, so you can easily carry it wherever you need to go, especially since it weighs 35 pounds.
The stand is 5′ long, so it can fit in the back of a truck but it isn’t going to fit in the backseat of a small car, unfortunately.
There’s a handle on this product that is located on the underside, it comes in handy for carrying it. Without the handle, it wouldn’t be that easy to carry.
Setting the Table Up
Once you have the miter stand where you need it, setting it up isn’t going to be hard at all. This saw is easy to set up. Lock the legs into place, adjust the arms to the desired lengths, and you’re basically ready to go. Mounting and removing the miter s as easy as baking a cake.
This product comes with the DW231 mounting brackets as well as extension stops. I have found people that have purchased extra mounting brackets because they were under the impression that the mounting brackets didn’t come with the table so I just wanted to make sure my readers understood this.
When you have this table fully extended, the versatility is out of this world – it has one of the best ranges for material support you’re going to find. This stand is light enough and compact enough to be able to carry around with you from one job site to the next, but on the same note, it is solid enough to be set up as a stationary bench in your personal workshop.
This table is great for different levels of carpentry and will make your life easier. I could see remodelers using it, as well as finishers, and of course DIYers. It’s easy to use and I can just tell it will last for many years to come.
DEWALT DWX726 Miter Saw Stand With Wheels
The other Dewalt miter saw stand I have on the list is the DWX726 model, and unlike the model we just discussed, this one actually comes with wheels.
This saw weighs 67 pounds, which is surprising since it’s mostly made from steel.
This actually comes with a three-year warranty, so Dewalt obviously has a lot of trust in this product.
You can count on this Dewalt stand being sturdy. One thing I have noticed is that many of the other stands from Dewalt are said to be able to hold up to 1000 pounds of material. However, this one right here is being advertised as having a 300-pound maximum load – that’s 300 pounds less than the Dewalt table I just told you about.
The stand will hold the saw steady while you’re using it. Actually, it’ll hold onto the saw like it’s a kid with a piece of candy.
If portability is your concern, then this table will have you covered. Portability just so happens to be one of the main features of this design. With this design, you can actually leave the saw attached to the table and move it. To do this, simply release the brake and push the handle down so that you lower the mount into the stow position.
The wheels are oversized, so it will be easy for the user to wheel it across the grass or bumpy worksite.
This saw is compatible with almost any saws you would like to use.
This Dewalt miter saw stand would be great for the average DIYer that needs to move their saw around their house or workshop. It’s sturdy, fairly light in weight and can support up to 300 pounds of material.
BORA Portamate PM-4000 Heavy Duty Folding Miter Saw Stand
Another good miter saw stand comes to us from Bora – the Bora Portamate PM-4000. This is a heavy-duty folding miter saw stand that is certainly worth talking about. This stand has been designed to work with almost every make and model of miter saws on the market. It’s a strong saw that you will be able to quickly set up whenever you need it. Whether you plan on working in your own workshop or at a Jobsite, you will be able to set the stand up exactly where you need to use it.
The Bora Portamate PM-4000 has a nice 500-pound capacity. This means that you can place up to 500 pounds of material on the table without having to worry about it buckling under the weight.
Quick Attach Mounts
Attaching and detaching the saw is really easy due to the quick attach mounts. Plus, the 13″ tall material supports are adjustable and can support material that is up to ten feet long.
This miter stand can easily fold up, making it even more portable and easy for you to carry from one place to the next.
So there you have it, another fine table that might just be suitable for you. It allows for a comfortable height, is made of tough powder-coated steel and in the end, it can be folded up so that you can store it in the corner out of your way.
Toughbuilt TB-S600 Gravity Miter Saw Stand with Universal Tool Mounts
You need a strong and steady stand to help you get your work done – you need the best that you can find. If you’re looking for the best miter saw stand, then I recommend taking a look at the Toughbuilt TB-S600 10′ gravity miter saw stand (it has universal tool mounts).
Universal Tool Mounts
This stand has universal tool mounts, which means that it can mount nearly every type of miter saw stand. This will make it easy for you to find a miter saw stand that fits your current miter saw.
Working with any material shouldn’t be a big hassle for you because this can handle material height that is up to 10 feet.
Of course, the stand can be extended so that it can work with the material of your choice. Due to the ability to be able to extend the platform, many have labeled this one of the best stands currently on the market.
Quick Release Mount
The quick-release mount tool is another benefit. This makes it so that you can use the miter saw off of the base with the level base.
Many users are attracted to the portability of this stand. It is portable and easy to transport. It comes with wheels that are 8.8 inches, making it easy for you to roll it through the grass, or even upstairs. The wheels are rubber, which makes them even more durable and it also makes for good traction.
So, if you’re looking for a good miter saw table that is compatible with many miter saw brands, and you want it to have a quick-release mount, then this one would be great for you. It even comes with an extended platform and can handle material height up to a total of 10 feet. All of this combined with the fact that it is portable making it a great miter saw stand in my book.
Evolution Power Tools EVOMS Compact Miter Saw Stand
While searching for the best miter saw stands on the market, don’t forget to take a look at this one by Evolution Power Tools – the EVOMS. This compact folding saw stand can also be labeled one of the best, which is why it’s on this guide. This miter saw stand is suitable for many different projects and is easy to set up.
This stand can be folded up, making it easy for you to move from one place to the next, or simply store in a corner someplace where it will be out of your way.
The stand only weighs 34 pounds, so if you can lift 34 pounds, you’re not going to have a problem moving this one around – you can easily move it from one place to the next or transport it in the back of a truck. Despite the stand being light in weight, it is still made of top of the line material, which is surprising.
Quick Release Mounting Bracket
The quick-release mounting bracket is a nice feature to have on a stand like this. This means that you will be able to easily remove the saw when you’re ready. You can also easily adjust the arm height.
Use with Evolution Power Saws
While you’re probably not going to be able to use this stand with every single miter saw on the block, you will be able to use it with Evolution power saws, so it will come in handy if you already have one or plan on buying one. Also, it can be used with a couple of other brands of miter saws, which you may want to look into.
This stand is strong and can hold a workload of up to 330 pounds, which is fairly decent in my book.
Of course, as I stated, this stand doesn’t support every miter saw out there, so it’s probably not going to be good if you have a Dewalt miter saw, but if you already have an Evolution power saw, I don’t see why you wouldn’t want this one. It’s made of high-quality material, can support up to 330 pounds of material and is light in weight.
Tomax Miter Saw Stand
Another good miter saw stand that is worth looking into comes to us from Tomax. It is well known for its high stability and portability. It can be used as a welding stand, vice, workbench, and some other applications.
The Tomax stand only weighs 22 pounds, so almost anyone will be able to pick this one up. For this reason, the stand is highly portable and is a big hit with those that want something that they can easily move around. There are no wheels on this stand, but that is okay because the weight of the stand makes up for the lack of wheels.
This product is capable of supporting up to 330 pounds. I admit, even I was shocked to learn this because of how much it weighs, but it’s true.
This stand is super versatile. If you need it as a workbench, then you can use it as one. if you need it as a vice, then use it as one. otherwise, you can use it as a miter saw stand.
The stand features a foldable design, so when you’re done using it or when you need to transport it from one job site to the next, you can easily fold it up.
Setting it Up
Set up is easy and isn’t going to take long at all.
The stand comes with all the mounting hardware you need.
This stand is light in weight, only weighing 22 pounds, and is highly portable. Of course, there are no wheels, but this shouldn’t bother you because you can easily pick it up and carry it with you.
Out of all the stands on the market, the ones I have listed in this guide are labeled the best in my book. I went out of my way to research each and every stand I have listed here because I only want the best for my readers.
